Forensic Osteology
Forensicosteology.org is dedicated to the free dissemination of forensic osteology data to academic, humanitarian, and law enforcement communities worldwide. The principal content of forensicosteology.org is the FOROST metabase. This free-access visual metabase of skeletal lesions links users to collections of many institutions from several countries around the world. These institutions retain the copyright on all information posted in the FOROST metabase. References to hosted material accessed through this portal should be made to the collection or the institution that provides it, NOT forensicosteology.org or the FOROST development team. Instructions for appropriate citation and guidelines for use permissions vary from collection to collection and are found with each record for each specimen.
Additional content provided here includes images of teaching collections, electronic lecture material (Powerpoint and Keynote slideshows), and instructional video related to learning and teaching human osteology that may be used freely by educators.
